Seven Ph.D. students from across the humanities will join Yale this fall as the second cohort of Whitney Humanities Center Graduate Fellows in the Environmental Humanities. Last year we partnered with Yale Environmental Humanities to launch a new fellowship for first-year Ph.D. students in the humanities whose work engages with environmental questions and topics. The fellowship comes with an honorarium, opportunities for mentorship, and special programming designed to stimulate interdisciplinary collaboration and community. Our first field trip of the year will bring the two classes of WHC Graduate Fellows in the Environmental Humanities to the Yale Farm, where they will harvest vegetables and learn about the Yale Sustainable Food Program.
