Overview
The A. Whitney Griswold Faculty Research Fund was established to support Yale faculty research in the humanities. It awards grants for specific humanities research projects to faculty from across the disciplinary spectrum at Yale. Grants up to $8,000 per academic year may be sought for purposes such as travel to inspect primary-source materials, acquisition of inaccessible books or visual materials (later transferred to a University library), and research assistance. The award is not intended for reimbursement of expenses already incurred.
Eligibility
Full-time faculty members on continuing appointment in any department or division of Yale University are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to first-time applicants and to applicants who do not have other current research grants.
