The Whitney Humanities Center’s 2024–2025 Annual Report celebrates the humanities community at Yale—faculty, students, postdoctoral and visiting fellows, invited speakers, and engaged audiences.

Inside, you’ll find Director Cajetan Iheka’s reflections on a year guided by a global vision, along with highlights from a broad range of programs and initiatives that fostered dialogue, sparked new insights, and deepened engagement with the humanities. These include lectures by speakers such as Angela Davis, Beatriz Colomina, and Adam Shatz; readings by Rachel Cusk and Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi; updates on our visiting and graduate fellows; an expansive array of faculty research and book projects; and an overview of our three Films at the Whitney series.
