Tisheena Harris
Tisheena Harris is an accomplished operations manager who joined the Whitney Humanities Center (WHC), the Humanities Program, and the Program in Ethnicity, Race, and Migration (ER&M) in October 2022. She holds an M.B.A. in Business Policy and Strategic Leadership and a B.S. in Business Administration with minors in Accounting and Finance from the University of New Haven.
As an operations manager, Tisheena serves as a steward of unit resources. With over nine years of experience in financial and administrative management at Yale, she diligently monitors day-to-day financial transactions and implements strategies to optimize resource efficiency. Her expertise allows her to provide clear information to chairs and directors, facilitating well-informed financial decision-making processes. Tisheena’s efforts contribute to the WHC’s effective allocation of resources, maximizing the impact of its programs and initiatives.
In addition to her financial stewardship, Tisheena provides administrative oversight to a team of professionals, leading six C&T staff and one M&P. Her dedication to nurturing talent and fostering growth within the professional community is evident in her managerial approach. Prior to joining the Whitney Humanities Center, Tisheena served as a finance and administrative manager for the Department of Mathematics and, previously, the School of Engineering and Applied Science. In her prior and current roles, Tisheena has been a valuable resource for colleagues seeking career development guidance. She participated as a Career Growth Panelist at the 2016 Yale Career Connect employee development resource event and served as a Career Panelist for the 2022 Women Empowerment Workshop organized by Future Leaders of Yale (FLY), the Yale African American Affinity Group (YAAA), and the Yale Latino Networking Group (YLNG).
