Working Group Funding

Our working groups bring together faculty, students, and other researchers from across the university to collaborate on topics spanning the full breadth of the humanities, from cuneiform to video game studies.

We provide each working group with an annual budget of $500 (intended primarily to cover refreshments for meetings), and groups may apply for up to an additional $500 per year for non-food expenses, such as local field trips, a modest honorarium for a speaker, and books.

Eligibility

We welcome proposals from humanities scholars, conceived broadly to include faculty, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, academic administrators, curators, and other researchers at Yale University. Scholars without research accounts are especially encouraged to apply.

How to apply

The WHC supports forty groups each year; and we welcome proposals for new groups. Please send a group name, brief description, and names of at least two organizers to Inessa Laskova at inessa.laskova@yale.edu.

Application Deadline

Applications are accepted annually: the deadline each year is July 15.
