Shannon K. Supple is curator of natural history, British, and early modern collections at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library in the Yale University Library. A book historian, she specializes in textual and visual materials documenting human engagements with the natural world, working at the intersection of environmental and book histories. She also has expertise in British literature and culture, early modern material texts, and contemporary artists’ books. In the classroom and beyond, Shannon explores histories of collecting, material pedagogy, and cultivating curiosity.
